About MentionNest

A field inspection for how AI sees your website

Customers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google’s AI results who to hire, buy from, or follow. MentionNest exists to answer one question honestly: when those systems read your site, what do they actually see?

How the scan works

The scan fetches your homepage the way an AI crawler does — raw HTML, no JavaScript execution — and runs real checks against what comes back. It also hands the page to an AI model with no extra context and asks it to describe your business cold. Every finding in your report cites evidence from your own page: your actual title tag, your actual headings, your actual robots.txt. Nothing is self-reported and nothing is guessed.

The six signal categories

01

Entity clarity

Can AI state who you are? Title, meta description, headline, schema.org structured data, and a visible market or location.

02

Answer readiness

Can AI quote you? FAQ content, one clear H1, scannable section headings, dedicated service pages, and pricing signals.

03

Topical authority

Is there context around your offer? Supporting pages, substantive homepage content, guides or about pages, and freshness signals.

04

External trust

Does third-party proof back you up? Visible reviews and testimonials, review structured data, and linked business profiles.

05

AI access & readability

Can AI physically read the page? robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, content that survives without JavaScript, llms.txt — plus an actual AI model reads your page cold and reports what it understood.

06

Conversion path

Once recommended, can a customer act? A tappable phone number or booking path, a form, and clear next-step language.

Where the numbers come from

Statistics referenced in reports come from published Ahrefs AI search studies (2025–26) and NP Digital client data — for example, that brands with FAQ pages were cited in 84% of ChatGPT answers about them, and that pages cited by AI are on average 25.7% fresher than classic search results. Sources are named in every report’s methodology note.

What MentionNest does not do

AI visibility is probabilistic. MentionNest measures inspectable readiness signals — it does not promise rankings, traffic, or guaranteed appearances in AI answers, and we say so on every report. If a tool promises you guaranteed AI mentions, it is measuring something it cannot control.
